01

AI judges each request

No fixed allowlists. The AI sees what you're working on and decides per domain: relevant? allowed. Not? blocked.

02

Blocks apps too

Spotify, Discord, games — if they launch during a sprint and aren't on-task, they close. Doesn't touch what was already running.

03

Camera keeps you honest

While a sprint is active, the camera watches you're at the desk. Walk away for 20 seconds — sprint forfeits. Local only.

PHILOSOPHY

The constraint is the feature.

Four sprints. Forty-five minutes each. No customization. No "just one more." Most focus apps give you knobs — duration, blocklist, schedule. That's where they fail: every knob is a chance for you to negotiate with yourself.

45 doesn't negotiate. The structure is the value.

HOW IT WORKS

01

Type the task

"Write the Q3 board deck." Or use voice. The AI uses this string to judge every request that follows.

02

Hit Start

Windows proxy points at 45. Camera turns on. Process monitor starts. The 45-minute timer begins.

03

Work, watched

Visit relevant sites — allowed. Open Spotify — closed. Walk away — forfeit. The decisions feed shows what's happening.

04

Repeat × 4

That's the day. After four, the app locks until tomorrow. You don't get to sprint more.

FOR TEAMS

A productivity benefit your people will actually use.

Most "wellness perks" sit unused. 45 gets opened the moment your team needs to ship something hard. Pay per seat, deploy in 10 minutes, get out of your team's way.

Zero employee surveillance

You buy the perk. They use it. No data flows back to you about what they worked on, how long they sat at the desk, or what was blocked. By design.

Aggregate usage only

Your only dashboard: "42 sprints completed across your 12 seats this month." No names. No tasks. No URLs. Enough to prove ROI, nothing more.

Self-serve deployment

Send your team a download link. They install, sign in with their work email, start sprinting. No IT ticket required.

Compliance-ready

All AI evaluation runs locally on each employee's machine. Only root domain names hit OpenAI — no URLs, no content, no PII. GDPR-friendly. DPA on request.

PRIVACY

What we don't see.

Most "focus apps" sold to companies are surveillance products in a wellness wrapper. 45 isn't. Here is precisely what your employer cannot get from us, because we don't have it:

FAQ

Why locked at 4 × 45 minutes? Can I customize it?

No. The constraint is the feature. Every focus app with a "duration slider" eventually becomes an app you negotiate with. 45 doesn't negotiate.

Does my employer see what I do?

No. All AI evaluation, camera detection, and process monitoring runs locally on your machine. The only thing 45 sends to a server is the domain name being judged — never page content, never URLs, never employee identity.

What if my camera is off / unavailable?

You can disable presence detection in Settings. Sprints still block sites and apps, you just don't get the "walk away → forfeit" check.

What if I need a 5th sprint?

You don't. Tomorrow.

Does it work on Mac / Linux?

Windows and Mac are both supported. Linux is not planned.

What's the AI? Where does my task description go?

OpenAI's gpt-4o-mini. Your task string + the domain being judged go in one short prompt. No URLs, no page content, no history. Costs roughly $0.001 per sprint.

(HR) Does this surveil our employees?

No. 45 is a self-imposed commitment tool. The only data point we ever upload to a server is a root domain name at the moment of a blocking decision — and we don't store it. The camera presence check runs locally; we never see the video. Aggregate usage stats (sprints completed across the team) are the only thing visible to a team admin, and never per-user.

(HR) Does it work with our works council / German labor law?

Yes — because 45 collects no identifiable employee data and runs entirely on the employee's machine, it sits outside most workplace-surveillance regulations. Happy to provide our security/privacy one-pager for your council review.

(HR) How do we deploy this to 50 people?

Send a signed installer link. They run it, sign in with their work email, done. No agent, no MDM profile, no IT ticket. Seats are managed via a simple web dashboard you'll get with your team subscription.

(HR) What happens when someone leaves?

Revoke their seat from the dashboard. Their app stops working within 24 hours; their local task history stays on their personal machine (we never had it).

(HR) Can we get a custom DPA / MSA?

Yes for team subscriptions of 25+ seats. Email hello@45.day with your standard template.

Lock in. Four times.

Download 45, install it, try it for a week. If it doesn't change how your day feels, don't pay.
